The funny thing about Stellar Blade is that except for the outfits (which the camera doesn't really let you exploit), there is next to no fan service in the game. No lingering shots, no overt or compromising dialogue. The devs really did just set out to make a great game that happens to star a beautiful woman. All of the horny content is user-generated. It really shines a light on the fact that modern games journalists 1) don't bother actually playing the games they review, and 2) suffer from personal repressed guilt that they feel the need to use their position to push on to others.

This is a silly argument to me. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely gross dudes out there. There are plenty of scumbags and pieces of shit who do awful things. However, obviously most men are not like that. 100% of bears are willing to attack and eat a person. I would say probably five or less percent of men are willing to violently attack a woman (using the numbers that our little white night used in his "pick me" speech, 1.608 attacks both fatal and not fatal on women since 2020 by men. If there are 160 million men, and we assume each of those attacks is a different man, none of them repeating, that is 1% of the male population. If we multiply that number two and a half times to account for unreported crimes, and then double that number to account for those men who would otherwise be non-violent but are alone and feel emboldened to act in a negative way, we get 5%). Here are the issues with our little cream puff's statistics. Those are only the Raw numbers. It doesn't take into account time spent with men versus women. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that the average woman spends anywhere between 4 to 10 hours a day around men. Sometimes in very close proximity. If you were to spend as much time around bears as you do around men, the odds and likelihood of you being attacked by a bear will go up substantially. Additionally, I would argue that the people who have been attacked by bears were people who have gone off the hiking trails. While bears tend to be wary, in general, around people and man-made things, if they are hungry, they will still attack. So if you go off the beaten path and you run into a bear, you're probably going to get attacked. To the point that the worst a bear can do is kill you, many bears will eat their prey while they are still alive. I don't know about you, but that's terrifying. Even if they don't start eating you and they just maul you, that's pretty horrifying as well. I see where that one woman is coming from where she lists off all the terrible things men are capable of, but that's really a lot to throw at a stupid hypothetical. The question is, would you rather be in the woods alone with a man or bear. It's not, would you rather be attacked by a man or a bear. Two completely different things. If we go back to my previous assertion of 5%, that's a 95% chance that you find a man who is not going to attack you. That doesn't mean he's going to be nice to you, but the odds of you surviving with another person are that much better. And even if he does start attacking you, you're in the woods. Grab a rock, grab a stick, do what you need to do and it's much easier to take him out than a bear. Nobody said anything about him having a fucking video camera, or trying to violate anyone or anything like that. Yes it could happen, but statistically it's very unlikely. The other thing is, if bears are preferable to men, why are all these women still in society? Why do they still date men? Why don't they go off and live with bears if they're preferable? I mean, they're silly questions but this whole thing is silly. Obviously, women need to be extremely careful because they can be targets, but they also realize that if they are smart and they have protection, their chances are that much better and it's very unlikely they will be physically attacked. So the fact that all these women are saying they would rather be alone with a bear, and then go home to a man, or go to a bar to find a man is ridiculous. I had a co-worker tell me she would rather be in the woods with a bear and then she went home to a toxic boyfriend. She lived with someone she knew was willing to hurt her, but I guarantee you if she showed up to work and there was a bear running around free, she would be the first person out the door. I think it's easy to say that you'd rather be stuck with a bear, but people don't take into account the reality of what that would entail. My question is, where are these female bear attack survivors? What do they say on the subject?
